The Advanced French
course focuses on the continued development of communicative competence in
French and understanding of the culture(s) of the people who speak French. The
prerequisite for Advanced French is successful completion of French II or
French III.

French I is year long class designed to provide students the opportunity to speak, understand, read and
write basic French.

French II focuses on the continued development of communicative competence in French and understanding of the culture of the francophone people. Students begin to show a greater level of accuracy when using basic language structures, and they are exposed to more complex features of the language. The prerequisite for French II is successful completion of French I.
